Thought others might like to see the Polkie chicks from this last hatch. Hard to believe they are full siblings, they all look so different. They are 3/4 silkie and 1/4 polish. Many have silkied feathers this time. Last batch was mostly satin or smooth feathered. 😊

And then these two little ones that are half Silkie and half Polish:

Awww adorable!!! 🥰

Thanks everyone for the advice and encouragement. The flock spent their first night out last night at six weeks old and my little silkie did great (probably the biggest problem was the constant disturbance by her paranoid human caretakers). She even figured out how to climb the whole ramp to the 3 ft high coop today!

They’re all so adorable!! I love the one with the little black spot on her eye 🥰

This little stinker, the one I was worried about not being able to navigate ramps, followed her flockmates all the way up the ramp, waited for them to go into the henhouse, and then flew to my lap because she knows she gets a treat if she goes in my lap and looks up at me.

She is so ADORABLE!!!! 😭🥰🥰🥰

Thats the enclosed area outside of the coop I seeded grass there -I have to keep mowing it though coz they don't eat it fast enough it keeps growing, as do the weeds haha.
Outside the enclosed area has no protection from sky predators but she takes her 3 chicks out most of the day there... We have a fig tree that offers some protection at least. (I decided to cull 2 chicks due to crossbeak)

It looks so lovely and green! Too bad about the chicks, but it's probably for the best.
