Gammas Bearded Babies
Crossing the Road
By chance do you have a thread that guides one through the process already or just posts similar to this here there n everywhere?I don’t know if he is on Instagram or on this site, but I can reach out to him and let him know you have an interest in his birds.
I have been doing a lot of research on breeding satins. It is really not difficult, just takes time! You take your smooth feathered bird that has all the other silkie qualities, making sure they have proper feet and toe feathering is important. Black skin and correct comb is also important.
You breed this bird back to a really good quality silkie. 50% of the chicks will be smooth feathered and 50% will be silkie feathered.
You repeat this again and again, choosing the best smooth feathered offspring and breeding back to a silkie.![]()
Like I'm guessing u don't ever breed them back to same ones again...so always a different silkie n satin?
