These four cuties hatched yesterday.
They will move over to the brooder later today. Getting blue chicks from Kana so far!😊View attachment 2978946
One chick still working on hatching in the incubator!
Adorable 😍 i love the little rolls on the blues.. reminds me of my silkie Bella

Yes, please try to get a video for us 😃

They are cute! That's cool that the breeder does have a public page, I have never been in fb an always only can see the public things.
Omg all the broodies on Jan 28th 😆

Omg they are beautiful :love Adorable 🥰 🥰 🥰
Did the 5th baby hatch in the meanwhile?
When are the other 32 eggs due to hatch?

What a great offer ❤️
Omg dont make me run off and get an incubator 🤣

I took out my post as I already got a response. But I may make the offer again!🤣❤️
Well.. now that i have roos.. im totally thinking baby chicks! But im beyond my legal limit (my neighbors won't tell, they want me to have more!!) So this is a bad temptation to have!!

I honestly think i might possibly have a second female tolbunt 😱

Now that i can see the male characteristics coming in on the for sure male, its just easy to see how mystery chick differs. I kind of think it's crest, as in the whole skin patch area, is deformed. The half of the scalp that is FINALLY coming in is looking very full and fluffy.. the other half doesn't have anything.. like no feathers pinning, just itty bitty face feathers. I can see the long skinny feathers coming in on the male's saddle/tail, and already in on its crest, plus all that iridescence. Oh!! And it is testing out its creaky voice when it gets startled, i think it'll start crowing soon.

So.. at 8 weeks.. think its worth sending mystery's feathers off for dna testing, or should things be more evident shortly?

Today is rainy and dark and cold, so neither the chickens nor i am in pic mood, but I'll get some tomorrow.

Oh... and the tiny silkie chick is sooooo adorable! I think she's just a bantam bantam!

Well there’s a one to two week turnaround time on the tests normally, depending on how busy they are. At this point you might as well just wait!😊

Ok, that's kind of what i was figuring.. hopefully the pinned feathers that are there will open already so i can see what's going on!

Still no red at all on its face, and i notice the distance from the ankle to knee is shorter than on the for sure male.

But...... possibly having only one tolbunt roo, makes me want to keep the tolbunt roo!! I could share tolbunt babies w the world!
