Id like a coke... ok what kind? Sprite...people here call d'uccles mille fleur as if it was a breed. you can find ads like: white millefleur chicks for sale![]()
I'll definitely take you up on that one day!!!I'm sure I could help with some hatching eggs in the future if you are needing some mille fleur satins to help with the project. Maybe I shouldn't get ahead of myself yet though with just having the 4 mille fleur babies right now.![]()
Adorable!! I spy a cute partridge!!I got some more silkie littles and wanted to show a picture of them!!!
Sometimes they throw in extra as insurance... but what a cute surprise!Yes! I actually ordered these from ideal and placed an order for 7 red so I don't know how the partridge ended up in the box? They sent me 8 chicks, not sure if that's the amount you need to ship them or what. There is another chick that's mostly black but has some white fluff on it's legs so it will be interesting to see what color it turns out to be!

They are all so so sweet. Some are easier to catch than others, but all of them let me pet and cuddle them, and fall asleep in my arms

Congrats on all your gorgeous babiesMy Saturday hatch is all finished and I got some lovely new babies! 5 of the mille fleur babies ended up hatching. I'm really happy with that number being they are from shipped eggs. Four of the 5 have naked necks. One I'm a little worried about because of the naval (possible omphalitis) but the baby is energetic and doing well so far so I hope it's not that. I love how much variety there is in down color with these guys. I can't wait to see how their pattern develops as they grow and I'm looking forward to seeing what feather type they have. I think frizzle might be a possibility which would be a lot of fun.

I had some from some of my own flock incubating too that hatched as well. I didn't get a separate picture of them but here they are all in a big group along with the mille fleur babies. There are 3 blacks, 2 paints (that may be mottled as well as paint) and 1 either black split to mottled or possibly even fully mottled baby. Four of these (one black, two paint, and the split/mottled baby) have a naked neck silkie dad but he didn't pass it on to any of them.

Here is the little one that is at least split to mottled I'd say and perhaps even fully mottled. I love the little pink and black beak it has. It'll be fun watching to see if it turns all black or actually is mottled.

I'll have more from my flock hatching next Saturday too but this hatch was extra special because of the millie fleur babies! I'm hoping maybe I get lucky and get some mottled next hatch and perhaps that Nn dad might actually pass the naked neck to a couple babies this time.
The broodies sound hilarious!
Your new girl is so pretty too! That is so wonderful you were able to give her a home where she has friends now!
Oh no I'm so very sorry you lost your sweet Poppy. She really was a beautiful girl and sounded like a sweetie too.
Oh how exciting!!! Those parents are absolutely gorgeous! I hope you get a great hatch!
Wow so many girls! I hope you are able to find a nice boy too!
Aww congratulations! They are so cute, and what a neat variety of colors!
That is wonderful Pebbles is a girl! They are all so gorgeous, what a beautiful flock you have!![]()
13/16 hatched yesterday and last night, including this little super bearded Polkie chick. 5 Polkies, hatch to order, and 8 Silkies. I'll post group photos later. No blues this go round.
I have been saving hatching eggs, as I had a customer who wanted some. They have since changed their mind, so I plan on placing only Kana's eggs. She is the only one thus far that throws blue chicks with Eko.
I have a dozen of hers currently, though some are a bit past their prime. Will see what happens!
I honestly don’t remember saying I wasn’t going to hatch any more chicks…View attachment 2995920View attachment 2995921
No, these Polkies were “hatch to order” and all 5 going to their new home on Tuesday!
Repeat customer and she treats her birds very well. So I am happy!
It really is good I don’t have room for more than about 20 birds, otherwise I probably would have a couple of hundred easy!
These are all five Polkies:View attachment 2996117
