Oh I hate that happened! I'm so sorry!

I luv a challenge 🤪 ! I keep forgetting it is the Mille fleur that I need! Not salmon faverolles or duccles!!!
God only knows what I may end up with here!!!

I'm a total gooberhead...I think 🤔
Duccles r mille fleur aren't they?!
My poor chicks don't stand a chance with me as their owner! 🤪

Oh yeah these sorts of projects seem like a lot of fun! 🥰

I'm sure I could help with some hatching eggs in the future if you are needing some mille fleur satins to help with the project. Maybe I shouldn't get ahead of myself yet though with just having the 4 mille fleur babies right now. 😅

We had silkies in the past and want to get more, but can't seem to find anyone around me willing to sell any, lol.

Aww that is a shame, I hope you are able to find some soon!

If you can't find any locally getting eggs shipped from a good breeder to hatch yourself can be a great way to get some nice quality ones. Shipped eggs can be tricky to hatch (being shipped can really do a number on them) but it's wonderful when it works out. 😊

I got some more silkie littles and wanted to show a picture of them!!!

Yes! I actually ordered these from ideal and placed an order for 7 red so I don't know how the partridge ended up in the box? They sent me 8 chicks, not sure if that's the amount you need to ship them or what. There is another chick that's mostly black but has some white fluff on it's legs so it will be interesting to see what color it turns out to be!

Sometimes they throw in extra as insurance... but what a cute surprise!

1 hatched late yesterday, and more overnight!!! :wee I'll get pics later today as they were still under mumma Puff although I spotted 4 heads so far!
Here's 1 pic, a blurry sneak peak of one yellow!...View attachment 2992868

Awwww congrats 😍 Such beautiful babies :love
I'm sorry the last egg didn't hatch 😔
I did have this happen, too. The last egg, fully black...I left it 5 more days in the incubator because I didn't want to give up on it...then I found out the little one had quit around day 19. So close. It is so especially sad when they do come so close but never hatch :hugs

It's great that Char's little partridge baby is doing so well! In the last picture you posted the little foot looked so much better :thumbsup

How wonderful that Puff and Char are raising the chicks together! I would wish to have such co-mothering hens when I will ever let my girls brood eggs, so two could experience being broodies and mothers - Silkies obviously wish to do so so badly.

Finally done w classes!!!! Woohooo!! So i rushed out for some pics before the sun went down!!

Let me present.. mystery chick.. aka PEBBLES!!!

Here is Wilma and Pebbles.. i love how one has a white crest and one dark.. adorable 😍 This is a better pic where you can see how Pebbles is (finally) getting a nice round girly crest.

Look how cute the polkie is... let me present.. Betty 😍

Pebbles and Betty hanging out.. you can see Pebbles is really not so big, whereas Fred (the tolbunt roo) towers above her and Wilma.

Here is another view of Wilma standing extra extra tall (she was checking out my phone) and you can see how truly itty bitty BamBam (girl) is behind her!!!

And finally, Very handsome Barney 🐓

They are all so so sweet. Some are easier to catch than others, but all of them let me pet and cuddle them, and fall asleep in my arms 🥰

So happy w my finally complete flock 🥰😍🤗
Your flock is so adorable 🥰
Congrats that Pebbles is a girl:celebrateI'm so happy for you!
They are all so sweet :love

My Saturday hatch is all finished and I got some lovely new babies! 5 of the mille fleur babies ended up hatching. I'm really happy with that number being they are from shipped eggs. Four of the 5 have naked necks. One I'm a little worried about because of the naval (possible omphalitis) but the baby is energetic and doing well so far so I hope it's not that. I love how much variety there is in down color with these guys. I can't wait to see how their pattern develops as they grow and I'm looking forward to seeing what feather type they have. I think frizzle might be a possibility which would be a lot of fun. 🥰

I had some from some of my own flock incubating too that hatched as well. I didn't get a separate picture of them but here they are all in a big group along with the mille fleur babies. There are 3 blacks, 2 paints (that may be mottled as well as paint) and 1 either black split to mottled or possibly even fully mottled baby. Four of these (one black, two paint, and the split/mottled baby) have a naked neck silkie dad but he didn't pass it on to any of them. 😂

Here is the little one that is at least split to mottled I'd say and perhaps even fully mottled. I love the little pink and black beak it has. It'll be fun watching to see if it turns all black or actually is mottled. 😁

I'll have more from my flock hatching next Saturday too but this hatch was extra special because of the millie fleur babies! I'm hoping maybe I get lucky and get some mottled next hatch and perhaps that Nn dad might actually pass the naked neck to a couple babies this time. 😂

The broodies sound hilarious! 😂

Your new girl is so pretty too! That is so wonderful you were able to give her a home where she has friends now! ❤️

Oh no I'm so very sorry you lost your sweet Poppy. She really was a beautiful girl and sounded like a sweetie too. 😢:hugs

Oh how exciting!!! Those parents are absolutely gorgeous! I hope you get a great hatch! 🥰

Wow so many girls! I hope you are able to find a nice boy too! 😊

Aww congratulations! They are so cute, and what a neat variety of colors! :love

That is wonderful Pebbles is a girl! They are all so gorgeous, what a beautiful flock you have! 😍
Congrats on all your gorgeous babies 🥰
I'm so very sorry you lost the little one you feared to have omphalitis😔 This must have been so difficult :hugs
Fingers crossed for the eggs due on Saturday :fl I'm curious if there will be a nn Silkie baby!

13/16 hatched yesterday and last night, including this little super bearded Polkie chick. 5 Polkies, hatch to order, and 8 Silkies. I'll post group photos later. No blues this go round.
I have been saving hatching eggs, as I had a customer who wanted some. They have since changed their mind, so I plan on placing only Kana's eggs. She is the only one thus far that throws blue chicks with Eko.
I have a dozen of hers currently, though some are a bit past their prime. Will see what happens!🤣🥰
I honestly don’t remember saying I wasn’t going to hatch any more chicks…🤔:oops:View attachment 2995920View attachment 2995921

No, these Polkies were “hatch to order” and all 5 going to their new home on Tuesday!😊
Repeat customer and she treats her birds very well. So I am happy!❤️
It really is good I don’t have room for more than about 20 birds, otherwise I probably would have a couple of hundred easy!🤣
These are all five Polkies:View attachment 2996117

😍 Congrats! They are precious ❤️
I'm curious if you will get some more blue babies! If so will you keep them?
Oh wow and Layla is a gorgeous fluff 🥰
Are the colors from her and Eko's babies predictable?

I got some more silkie littles and wanted to show a picture of them!!!
Congrats on your new babies :love Adorable!
