They are about 10-12 weeks of age. Breeder told me hens but I'm unsure if she's correct.
The white is a paint silkie.
The blue is a satin silky.
I was told the blue was older but not sure how much older. Thanks in advance!

Satin silkie? A new name for a silkie cross I guess. Silkies should have, well, silkied feathers. If it doesn't then there's a cross somewhere. They are too young for me to sex.

Satins are what was previously sizzle. By what I've been told by others here. So yes, I understand it is a Cochin silkie X.

Satin is the new term for sizzle- a smooth feathered silkie, not yet officially recognized I dont believe- or not showable maybe? But they are established enough now that they dont need crossing with cochins to produce the satin feather type. I am very partial to satins- my avatar pic is a frizzle satin roo- he was blowdried right before I took the picture, haha. Anyway Id say your two satins are pet quality- which is fine, but can sometimes make sexing even trickier because theres not quite as round and poofy a headtess on many pet quality hens. At this age its not clear whether silkies are male or female- give it 2-3 more weeks. And now I realize this is a year old post0 oops! Gyess the question is long since answered....
