Hi,

I finally got my 2 week old Silver Appleyard Indian Runner duckling.
She's incredible tame, bold and a quick learner.

My White Campbell loves her and got VERY excited the 1st day I brought her home.
They now drink, eat, swim and clean together when we're supervising.

I'll post more week by week as she grows and feathers out.

The above pictures were taken 2 weeks ago when she was 2 weeks old.
Here are some of her at 4 weeks old with her feathers starting to come through.

She's learning what worms and spades are and is giving the Campbell and the chickens a run for their money when it comes to snuffling and stealing worms.

I've taken some more photos.
She's now 5.5 weeks old and is well on her way to being completely feathered out and started quacking a few days ago.

Mmmmm this mud tastes good:

See, I can stand taller than you Boggling (White Campbell):

I love her coloring, it looks fantastic, espescially the eye stripes.

I'll post more in a week or so.

Not only is she cute to look at but she is also very tame. She loves sitting in your lap and rolls over slightly so you can rub her belly. If you say the command "stretch" then she puts her leg and wing out like they do when they stretch sitting down and lets you rub her foot.
She knows a handful of commands now and is learning faster than my Campbell did:

Dinner Time
Worms
Come here
Stretch
What's this
Sit Down

I am still relatively new to ducks and I am by no means an expert.
How Silver Appleyardy is she? I tried looking for Silver Appleyard ducklings and found 1 week old pics...but nothing from 1 week to adult.
