There wouldn't be any reason why you can't leave the ducklings together for hours at a time.Ahh thats good to hear, I'm planning on getting another duckling for this one. What if the other duckling imprints on me. Am I allowed to leave it with my older duckling for longer periods of time like 2-3 hours?
Why the need to have the duckling imprint on you? Do you realize when ducklings imprint there is apt to be behavioral issues once they reach maturity. Also, most people do not understand what imprinting means. I really think you mean you want the duck to bond with you - to be a pet who follows you around. And, that is totally acceptable. It sounds like you will be spending lots of time with the ducklings, so you won't have to worry about them bonding with you. As long as you provide them with their essential needs and spend time with them, you will have two great pets.
