Sadly I'm the opposite. My hens need light in the evening to have supervised free range time. Once we fall back their free range time is greatly lessened and I feel bad for them.

I miss free range time with my girls since I moved to a more rural area. I’m terrified they will run away and into woods and get snatched. I bought some plastic fencing a posts to create a free range area for them next to the house with netting on top. I’ll set that up every once in awhile to give them a change of scenery.

it would be nice to extend the run to the other side of the coop but I need to pump the breaks for a while and settle in to the new house and see what really “needs” to be done vs what is like to have added.

blessing abound but I’d like to be prepared if things take a turn for the worst.

I love watching the classic shows. How fun. One of my favorites is little house on the prairie. Just good old fashioned fun

Ya, good morning all, I have been up quite a while, I have been looking at a different coop/run styles, I want to be able to give the flock better protection from the weather year round,
I saw a pic of a coop/run last year and loved it. The coop and 1/2 the run had an extended eave so snow and rain didnt get in the covered run part. I have been trying to re-find the pic.

Boy the wind is really blowing the pines around and it is oddly 52 out,

We have been watching MASH we are up to season 7. It is dark now at 6:50, it's time to go close up the coop for the night,,

That was a favorite of mine when I was about 5. I think it was when we got our first tv (we moved a lot) and I would watch Happy Days and MASH. The they moved them half an hour later and I couldn't watch MASH any more and was so mad, mom suggested I write to the tv station about it. I was too shy. So funny.
I have been an NCIS fan from the beginning, I think it was a good way for him to go out. I like that most of the characters have moved on rather than dying.

I Agree. I like the thought that he is somewhere finally at peace. The character deserved that ending.
