Sometimes they get something on a walk or drink/lick a puddle, or the very worst get into the trash,
She has a very active nose during walks. Sometimes I don't see her snatch something up and swallow it until too late.

Listen closely, because I can't recall the last time I said this:

I can't wait for 4" of snow! :gig

We recently switched to grain free. Today I pulled all of her treats that are not grain free; she won't get those anymore.

I think she ate something on the ground. Deer poop, neighbor's chicken poop, raccoon poop, opossum, skunk. All are possibilities. Today she's getting pumpkin and white rice. That has fixed the problem before. Good thing she likes it.
I am sure you know that when you switch to take it slow-- 1/4 new to 3/4 old for 4 days and then work up to 1/2 & 1/2

My dogs had diarrhea for 5 months, turned out to be the Wellness Brand Dog food- the day I took them off it and put them on chicken and rice it was over- I feed them Victor Brand and we have not had an issue since-

Yes, pumpkin helps, also the boiled chicken & Rice

I keep now brand children's acidophilus in the fridge for the dogs

They also can pick up Giardia,

About a week or so. Then today it dawned on me to check her treats. 🤦‍♀️ She won't be getting most of those anymore either.

Our second Doberman was allergic to air, it seemed. Special food, shots, the whole bit. I'm going to see if getting rid of the treats changes anything in another week. If not, then it's a trip to the vet for allergy testing.

She doesn't get a lot of treats. Usually one when DH leaves for work, and one to take to her bed just before we eat a meal. That one is a pork hide twist.
pork hide twist- look up the brand for a recall,

You may need to take a poop to the vet and ask them to teat for giardia - I ask mine to send it to the lab for a better analyze
