Your rain reminded me of a soap commercial from about 50 years ago. A guy gets up, hears that it's pouring buckets of rain and plods over to the shower. His soap (Lifebouy? I think?) lathers up, the smell is invigorating, and he emerges wide awake, full of energy, and ready to start the day.

His wife, still in bed, mumbles to him, "How're you gonna get to work today?" and he answers, "Backstroke!"

AND,, Happy New Year!!
Just another Wednesday here at my house. I had family in and out the last two weeks.
So, on with the day to day business.

I just refilled my hummingbird feeder, I have 2 that stay all year.
I want to get the instant pot out and pressure cook my turkey bones for broth, get all of the throw rugs washed, get the celling and walls dusted down, all the kitchen cabinets and drawers wiped out along with the outside of the cabinets. THEN gather nick knacks and dust / wash down all the furniture; pitcher frames; window blinds; and wash the inside of the windows.
THEN-- hopefully I can get all this done by Friday and YES,, MOP,
I have been putting this final chore off since last May. Its been a rough year and I have let my standards slip.

its 6:30am,, Its Bible study time and then get moving.

So Sorry! I have been MIA,,, My mother in law passed away and we have been busy. She had her 99th BD on the 5th. DH has been super stressed ( due to his nasty mean older sister) and I am seeing it take a toll on him.

DD#2 is going to fly with DH to Bedford Va, DD#3 has work in Nashville T-Th and is renting a car to drive from Nashville to Bedford as soon as she is done working on Thur. I am a bit freaked out about that, unknown roads, winter and dark, Please pray for my Jenny that she gets to Bedford safely.
the service is on Friday the 17th

I pray you all are well and surviving the storms. I am sure it has added an unwelcome dimension to your days.

I did get all of the living room done on Monday the 6th. , things keep popping up and waylaying me-- I am going to start in on the kitchen this morning. We have to just "Roll with It Baby"
