After I got that done I used the weed eater on the paddock across the driveway. I got it cleaned up for the dogs. I will need to have them romp in there while the roofers are working,
Then DH finished getting the woodchipper together and we got 3/4 of a big pile done, we filled the new wheelbarrow 7 times. some brush I set aside for the burn pile , it didnt make good woodchips.
I had us stop at 5, I was starting to feel the day and still needed to be able to clean up all the tools. 8-5 is a good work day.

42 and windy, I weeded both lavender beds and my tea bed, weed trimmed and mowed 1/2 the yard. When Gary got home we knocked out the one brush pile we had stared on Saturday and got another over by the fruit trees. I finished mowing and got everything put away just in time for the rain to hit.
My knees are a bit sore from not using a kneeler pad to weed and my hands dont want to make a fist but that all will work out.
Today I need to take everything down off the walls in the house as per the roofers request.
" things could fall off the wall" I think I will use blue painters tape on the bathroom mirrors.

Good morning, Loving my coffee,
Yesterday, I got the 20 bags of sand put in the coop
My Tonka , I love it 💕 I still have to lift it all but this is so easier than a regular wheelbarrow

Never knew you had that much property...nice!

Oh, those chickens LOVE their sand. Our 4'x4' sandbox for the hens has a 10'x10' canopy overhead to shield from sun or rain year-round. Even in windy rainy weather the sand box stays dry for them & still do their dustbaths. They hang around in the sand when the raised Spring garden beds are closed off. We add a sand bag or two each year but it is amazing to sift & upkeep & we use a padded beach mat to cover it at night from the poopy feral cats!
