I have 2 hens out of 3 that are molting. One hen doesn't make enough eggs make, so I have to buy some. Oh well. They deserve a break!

One of my pullets has dark pink, but very small wattles and comb. I'm hoping she starts laying for me soon, and lays through the winter...? They are 16 weeks old as of Saturday.

The other two pullets still have dark grey/pale pink combs. I probably won't see eggs from them till after the Solstice, I'd guess.

My new chicks are 21 & 20 weeks old so, I have read brown LH's may not start to lay until 24 weeks. We had no eggs yesterday and the day before just 2. But today 4, I am not sure which one isnt laying egg #5 but I suspect it is Granny, she is 3yr old.

what a Cccute puppy, I love dogs,

I love dogs too! You have such cute pups, I've always thought that rotties are so beautiful.

Coop is set for the day and the coffee pot is full [ decaf ]
I have a lot of house work to do today. I thawed a chicken out yesterday and I am going to make an Italian dish with stewed tomatoes and rich for supper.
