So I hope everyone had a great day!,
it is much cooler here today, its 39 on the porch.
I am almost dont with the laundry, the coop is all closed up, Boy Howdy the white leghorn, Lady Rose looks like a porcupine, she has quills all over, she wanted to sleep all by herself in the top nesting box and man as painful as she looks , she is very much welcome to. A few other are also sprouting so the one year olds molt is almost over.

A very chilly morning to you all, Coffees ready,
I'm on cup #2
the dogs have been in & out since 4am. Boy the fire feels good, its 35 out.


I am waiting until 6:30 to open the coop, trying to get the hens use to not having to get up before light. We turn the clocks back Nov. 7th

chicken enchiladas for lunch/dinner today
soaking some kidney beans for a pot chili
Tomorrow is dog shower day, its an all day chore. After their shower I clip toe nails. Then, wash the dog bed covers, all the towels, the throw rugs, vacuum & mop.
it is what it is, a lot of work but,,, We love our babies

a very clear sky this morning, It should be nice out after the sun comes up
All the poo is scooped up and the coop is ready for the day, I turn the light off when I am done in there.







The web says sun up is not till 7:25,,, so, it will be dark a while yet

i think they missed it by 10 minutes, there was light at 7:15

Cloudy right now. Some sunshine would perk me up. Instead, I'll have some more coffee! And I think I'll put some honey in this time.

An hour and a half to football for hubby. I think I'll inventory my garden seeds to see what's there. Then maybe fall down the rabbit hole of seed companies online and order some for next year.
