I can go shoot out in my field. I love it!
I have 2 neighbors that have expressed interest in selling their homes pre covid…I will try like mad to scoop them up if they ever sell to expand my property. My property had a house on it that was torn down. It was in such disrepair that there was nothing that could be salvaged which was the point of buying it. I love being out here. Nothing beats the peace of being with nature. This was a pic from the other day. There are houses FFFC7D50-46EA-43F7-BE24-425810EA7B09.jpeg behind me…but can’t be seen in the summer. And have nothing in front of me or to the sides. I’m just a girl with my chickens up here🤣

The house sits in the middle of trees so that is literally what i see on all 4 sides. Even though I’m 5 minutes from major stores, it is pretty secluded. I used to travel for work before covid and I’m still sidelined. I didn’t realize how much life I gave up being on the road.

I had a crazy Amazon guy that got a little amorous so I has to install a system on the driveway to send me notifications when someone was driving up. Downside of living solo and not having neighbors that can put eyes on you very day. Had to call police and threaten a PPO.

Oh the world we live in.

WOW! Be careful, Frankie!

We're very secluded back here too. THANK GOODNESS I trust all my neighbors, totally. There are 4 other houses back here, and I would turn to any of my neighbors for help, and help them in any way I could, any time of day.

We bought adjoining acreage when one of the neighbors wanted to sell it. They knew why we wanted it (expand our land, not subdivide and build), and they were happy to have us buy it. When "the old house at the corner" went into foreclosure, we bought that too. (The house isn't habitable, but could be fixed up. Maybe someday... maybe not.)

Sounds idyllic! We’re able to get the plow out this week?☺️

Yeah, good ol' Ionia County plowed us out sometime Thursday night, I think.

We went to the store yesterday, after Terri Deboer and Ellen Bacca promised us freezing rain last night/today. They were right, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

My neighbor gave me this:

I'm so sorry you experienced that. No one should. What a world we live in.
