I washed a dog blanket and hung it on the line. Now I'm baking something. I'll clean up the mess as it bakes.

Plus the regular morning chicken chores and dog walk (these aren't any big deal).

Good morning, Its a cool 52 out,
I cracked the big carafe for the 12 pot coffee maker, so the 5cup I use for DH's decaf will do,
cleaning beets and carrots today and hopping to get the pickled beets made, heading out to turn on the soaker hoses.

I love pickled beets. I hope they turned out well.

So who has pickled beets???? I must have missed that post! I love pickled beets! I made sure to plant them this year and the doggone rabbits ate them! There was one big one I cooked anyhow.

Me has beets,, I was going to make pickled beets but fermented them.
I just finished making
2 jars of carrots, 2 jars of beets with onions, one mustard seed/ dill cabbage and one caraway onion cabbage, I still nab beets and carrots in the fridge to roast in the oven for dinner
