Yesterday, I had to go in for thyroid blood work. From the lab we could see all of the olympic mt's, is snowed sunday night, it looked beautiful.
We made a few stops on the way home.
I worked on todays bible study. In between we hung some solar lights on the front porch. One of the porch light fixtures has not been working and we needed light to safely see stepping off the porch.
THEN DH worked on emptying the old truck toolbox. When he was done we took the canopy off the old Ford. I finished my study work, and holy cow it was 4:30BAM! where did the day go,
made dinner, cleaned the kitchen, and went to bed at 8:30.

I love my old truck, a lot of memories , "he" is like an old friend.

I can not get down on my knees, nor can I work that length of time.

Good morning
up at 5 fire going, its a chilly 43 out and cool in the house.
the mowing! I forced myself to go out and get the yard and around the garden don at 2:30. The grass was as dry as it was going to get and we have rain the next 3 days.
So, now that thats done. I need to get the shop vac out in the coop and get the walls and celling dusted. All that dirt will become moist over winter and MOLD. the man with the saw mill did not cut boards all summer so no wood chips for the run. I dont know how many bails it will take to layer the run, probably to many, like 12
I will google woodchips and see what I find.
so,, it must be coop day no mopping,, yet.

I have my eye on the DeWalt cordless handheld vacuum at the local TSC. It would be possible but very difficult to get the shop vac into the run/coop and clean up the cobwebs and dust.

I wonder how loud the handheld vac is? The shop vac is LOUD. Wear hearing protection loud.

SO,,,,,,, Here is what I actually ended up doing on Saturday. the other chore i didnt want to do but had to because it was going to rain for the next 3 weeks,
I started at 10am and was done by 1pm -3 hours of hands and knees pulling all the weeds in the bed and on the edges, pulling up the jalapenos and tomatoes. It rained off and on.

then i got want was left of my down-to-earth old stuff and spread that on

and by 1:45 was all done
I still need to prune up the herb plants and put the trimmings in the compost. BUT NOT this week but I dont mop

I need to clean cobwebs, too. In the spring, I put on a mask, shower cap and goggles and used my leaf blower. Its hard to reach tight spaces and rafters with a shop vac - but I think I'll try a shop vac this fall. What a crappy job. I wrapped the south and west sides of the girls' pen, today. Tomorrow I have a young man coming to quote us on a new roof for the run.

I just go after the cobwebs with a broom once in a while. I like the blower idea though.
