The girls are up and out early as usual, it is a chilly 45 out.


I got all the house re-mopped yesterday and things hung back up on the walls. DH and I went out and got the pile that was made when we had the trees off the porch cut all sorted out. Wood in one pile and limbs off the the far right, Now we can chip up all the limbs.

holy cow 39/40 this morning
it didnt rain yesterday so I guess I better do some watering today
I spent all day in the kitchen yesterday. I made homemade pasta sauce and cooked up 2lb ground meat and,

yep, pasta. and that was all, it did take all day.
I have not made pasta in ?? gosh since? Jan. 2024? maybe longer.

Coffees Ready, on the West Coast

Spent all day in the garden. Weeding and got the Tomatoes in and chilies. Added compost to the green beans. Got the coop and run raked up and did the watering.

I need to go up and cut 2 or 3 poles for the run.
There were a few bath fights yesterday so I shall make the area bigger for tub hogs. I am going to keep the dust bathing to the garden side of the run in hopes it puts less dust on the house,, but I don't think it will, but every bit helps.


went to HD before costco yesterday. I actually got some cushions for the porch swing and ordered some back rest pillows. I think I'll go back and get two for the rockers.

Due to Welsummers not being available,, I had ordered leghorns.
WELL!! this morning I randomly thought,, "I'll check and see if any Welsummers are available.................
AND there were 16 females,

I snagged them and canceled the leghorn order

ordered some back rest pillows. I think I'll go back and get two for the rockers.

My behind will definitely appreciate more pillows when I come to visit next time!

I got both dogs a shower and nails trimmed, the coop walls swept down , a second set of nesting boxes 95% done. Need to put a slant board over them.
A Load of dog towels washed/ hung out and folded. Got DH his dinner. He will be off to the elder meeting soon. I need to wash up the chick feeders and set up the brooding pen.
I did not get out to the garden or mow.
