Sitting duck questions

We’ve lost two more this week, the smallest one I was calling Rowdy was dead when I came in to check on them this morning. He has been walking a little weird. Off balance and fell down a few times yesterday. I feel like it’s my fault he died and I’ve been crying since I found him. We took Mama back outside the other day after the third one died by the water bowl. We’ve had the babies inside in a box in the guest bathtub since then. It was bitterly cold this week so we moved them inside once we took away their primary source of heat. We’ve had a light on them inside. Down to 7 ducklings and I’m praying they all make it.
I’m so sorry. I know losing any duck is hard, but it bothers me the most when it’s a duckling because they are so innocent and stinkin cute!:hugs

Are you by chance feeding them wet feed? I have found it drastically helps them get stronger. Maybe because it’s easier to swallow?

I hadn’t been feeding them wet feed...do I just mix their feed with water, or is this something specific I should get?

They’ve been eating and drinking a LOT, but maybe the little one wasn’t getting to it as well.

Thank y’all for being so nice!

Just me but if I was going to feed moist or wet I'd add a tiny bit of ACV to it because wet food can mold quickly especially in a warm environment . I start all my babies out on Fermented feed so they eat moist right off. But before I did this I used dry and they hadn't any problems with that either.
