Your set-up is lovely!!

I really like the breezeway, coop, and greenhouse. Handy to have the benches in the greenhouse, the chickens must love them.

But, I was thinking "AK! You can't drive the snowplow through there!"

Do you shovel by hand? It didn't look like you had used a snow blower.



And I did get coffee with lunch.

Actually hubby makes the first pass on his way to blow a trail to the cottage (hidden from view but to the east of the run) and to the other outbuildings, then I finish up with the shovel after cleaning off the roofs, getting all the corners and crannies to keep down the inevitable pile up.

Finally made it back from shopping! You can get lost in all the people out this time of year! LOL

2 giant cups today for 12 hour shift, not nearly enough!!

Sourland: If one lives to be 150 that puts middle age at 75!

That's my plan...Maybe I can stick with it!

Chickisoup: I really like your setup. I especially like the greenhouse! I'm jealous! I have a bunch of old windows to make one. I hope I can start in the spring. We'll see.

Update on the rest of my flock. I still have 5 left after dog attack. They finished the round of penicillin injections. Scabs are forming. They are eating, not as much as I'd like, but they are all eating. They're pretty content yet to stay in the coop. with the warmer temps I was able to shut off one of the heat lamps. And tonight I opened an extra window to start getting them used to colder temps again, before the temps drop too far. I can walk in the coop now and they don't run away afraid but they do walk away afraid yet. I left a message for the dog warden on Tuesday, and still haven't gotten a reply. I guess I'll try again on Monday.

Snow has already started that was "supposed" to start late today. Now it should snow pretty much till tomorrow night and then off and on thru Christmas. Oh well, at least no ice and none of the really heavy stuff. My poor chooks won't see the sun again before Thursday.

Hope all our New Englanders are safe and warm and have plenty of coffee on hand!
