Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

My currant coop / Run issue is mosquitoes neighbor has a huge pool that has not been working or cleaned in 2 years. I have no Idea how to get rid of the mosquitoes but it sure would be nice for me and my ladies.

Any ideas on how to kill em without fogging my Birds?

Here we report the problem to the mosquito vector control and they will come put mosquito fish into the pool.

The mosquitos is also bad for you--it is a health hazard.

Yea I know but just like my children I am usually more concerned with their health and comfort. I was simply appalled last nigh there were so many and I don't know how to get rid of them and this Bill Guy coming from the coast is sure not to do me any favors as far as the mosquitoes go I am sure the water left behind will just make bigger breeding grounds for them.

Could you possibly throw some mosquito dunks over the fence, and into their pool? Perhaps when the neighbors aren't home? The dunks prevent mosquitoes from maturing into adults from the larvae. They are available at feed stores and hardware stores.

I think the Mosquito is also the biggest transmitter for foul pox. ?
Is that a seasonal thing?
encephalitis, west nile, foul pox and other diseases. We do not have malaria here but that too. In some parts of the country, Florida for sure, Dengue fever I think.

do you know any chicken safe way to at least minimize them?
I am sure the old fogger is not the best idea for the Ladies to be breathing.

Can I use off naturals in the coop or on the Ladies?
