I am thinking that was some of my problem with clutch number one, such a difficult winter on the chickens and some of my pullets are not yet laying makes me think that the cockerels are not yet old enough either. ten of thirty hatched in clutch #1

BooBoo was introduced to the babies yesterday. I took one out to let him sniff it. He was a very good boy. Sissy is still convalescing. This morning she greeted me at the door of her room crying to be fed. She's still limping and moving slow, but the swelling has gone down. And there's nothing wrong with her appetite. I think keeping her confined so she can rest is the best thing. I keep praying she'll recover quickly.
