Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Whew! Third cup of coffee today and still going strong.

Have him build you a little book coop to put out by the mailbox for a little library. This is what we are going to try if the 243 inches of snow ever melts... More coffee please!
nice idea but we are a 1/4 of a mile off the end of a dead end road that only has two other houses on it. Only traffic by our mailbox is the mailman (when the road is plowed) and some lost tourist from the city in the summertime.

Do all towns post the latest obits in the post office?

I don't think I ever entered the post office when I lived someplace big... But here you just gotta go if you ever get a package.

I hope it's not a family member or friend of yours Alaskan.

I have never heard of that before. Except maybe on some old (and/or western) TV shows.

Didn't know that was for real.

Around here you do not want to see your picture in the post office --- for any reason.

not in our little post office but the postmaster usually will quickly clue you in if anyone has passed away.

The post office used to be the place to get all the news.

HAPPY DANCE!!!!

My new old books arrived!!!
First one is The American Poultry Yard by D.J. Browne 1850. It's a first edition with fully intact binding and cover but otherwise pretty rough and scuffed up. Actually in better condition than I expected for what I paid. I knew it wasn't in collector's condition, but I just really wanted to have a readable copy so I am pleased.

The second is a third edition of Lippincott's Poultry Production 1921 in very good condition and all 243 engravings intact. I generally don't buy books this new but a first edition of this book is about as rare as hen's teeth

and just as expensive.

Ok, I am now going to brew a HUGE pot of coffee, evict the critters from my recliner and get lost lost in some good reading

Nothing like an old new book to read. Or would that be a new old book?

If I had a weather order, it'd be 80* year round and precipitation (like you said) "as required from the hours of 12am to 4 am. IDK anything about wind speed, so we'll go with yours on that too. No snow!!!

Maybe I'll have to put the order in to travel to where the weather is how I want it at the time? Hawaii is about 80o most of the time.
