Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I dunno..... They don't do an even job....... And they loved pooping right on the walk to the front door.

I kept thinking that what I needed was a goose herder, to keep them exactly where they needed to be. My kids aren't that well trained though.

I thought is was all sorts of lovely.... The spouse was displeased

What about using something easy to move on stakes like safety netting? I have trees where I want my chickens to ...er... fertilize the blackberry plants before they get good and going, so I could just use several small trees and put safety netting around them, then the chickens have plenty of space (bugs, grasses, etc.) and I don't have to shovel the ...er... fertilizer. =D
Depends on what size we are talking about.

This size:
x3 would be maybe considered too much.

This is me; I drink one cup, but it's big!

I do like snowboots. I just don't want to have to wear them for 9 months of the year. I keep putting in my order for weather which is Spring - 40 to 60o . Rain : As required from the the hours of 12am to 4am. wind speed up to 10 mph except for March, can be up to 15 mph for kite flying. Summer The same as Spring except 60 - 80o. Fall The same as spring. Winter 25-40o.. Precipitation the same, except snow for the holidays and snow gone by Feb 15th. Winds can never go higher than 10mph,( Except of course for March.)
I think my order keeps getting lost!

Now I ask you...Do you think I'm asking too much?

If I had a weather order, it'd be 80* year round and precipitation (like you said) "as required from the hours of 12am to 4 am. IDK anything about wind speed, so we'll go with yours on that too. No snow!!!

I would die at those temps. How about we raise it to 85? other wise I'd be wearing a coat all summer.

Oh wait, we could have requirements per latitude, that way you northern types won't pass out from the heat. I imagine after living in negative degrees for so long, going up to the 90's (a 100+ degree difference) would just about kill you...

Maybe if we write this all up and present it to the proper authorities... they'd get a good laugh out of it.

I'm sure the "proper authority" is sitting on His Throne laughing His butt off right now!!!

Need more coffee!

I like it! =)

50, I would be happy with 50.

But then, 50 is a normal temp in the months you'll call summer.

We actually count our summer by the number of days that hit 60. Last year we had over two weeks of summer.

You go up to somebody and ask

" so, how many days of summer have we had so far?"
"Oh, we had one day yesterday, and two days last week"
"Yep, yeah, I think that is what I remember too.... But I am up on the hill, so I only got one last week, so I am only up to two."
" Oh, I hear ya. Salmon is running good though, over by Point Pakipsky, been out yet?"
" not yet, but yeah, I hear it is good."

By the way, "up on the hill" means over 1,000 feet elevation.

HAPPY DANCE!!!!

My new old books arrived!!!
First one is The American Poultry Yard by D.J. Browne 1850. It's a first edition with fully intact binding and cover but otherwise pretty rough and scuffed up. Actually in better condition than I expected for what I paid. I knew it wasn't in collector's condition, but I just really wanted to have a readable copy so I am pleased.

The second is a third edition of Lippincott's Poultry Production 1921 in very good condition and all 243 engravings intact. I generally don't buy books this new but a first edition of this book is about as rare as hen's teeth

and just as expensive.

Ok, I am now going to brew a HUGE pot of coffee, evict the critters from my recliner and get lost lost in some good reading

:lau Now...if I just followed those rules, I wouldn't be totally out of bookcase space.

Oh, clarification!!! That is what ! am trying to limit myself to NOW, mostly because my BH has refused to turn one more gun case into a bookcase for me! I have one barrister's bookcase for my antique books but there are also two other bookcases (and one coverted former glass front gun case) and I STILL have a pile of books next to my bed and another beside my chair!!! This is after I hauled a boxes full of books to our local charity shop.

I promised him that my Kindle would eliminate the need to buy new books, just didn't mention the old ones

Is there a bookaholics organization??????
