Yep, doesn't matter how big the cup is, there is going to be something wrong with it.

I try to tell him to not allow the Degree to define himself. its a starting point. Some people move on from there and virtually create a niche for themselves as they go. like for instance he also wants to write... I think he would be a great fit for a Game Developer....

When I started out back in 73 I wanted to be a Systems Analyst. We are talking during the final days of key punch programming. I was Programming in Fortran and basic in Highschool.,.. keying it in on Keypunch and they were taking boxes of cards to San Diego State to run them on actual Computers... Dial up was a rotary phone with a boot like receptical where you stuck the phone reciver in. the data was sent by telephone lines to a similar reciever at the college.

I started at community college talked to an advisor and he wrote me up a schedual. I had no clue. I wound up being classes to prepare me for working in an office as an assistant to the programming department. They had me doing switch board style programming for sorting machines. I was sooo bored I forgot to go to the finals and yet still got As in the classes.

So the next semester I switched to art and learned how to weld in sculpture class and to compose art through Art composition and I gobbled up a Boolean Algebra class. Took it on a whim. but by then the damage was done I felt I was wasting time for another college student who was more "motivated"

To be honest that Art Composition class served me the best over the years. As well as the welding class.

I worked in several fields after that before getting bored again and going back to school. then I discoverd drafting. Part Art, Part Math, Part Writing, Part logic.... And I got to go to the machine shop to answer questions and learn... I was in heaven. School for me was on the job training. though I did get a degree when I was 50.

Puddin Fluff - Sweet hubby does ok with the coffee. He likes it weaker than I do but he makes sure the pot is set up to run before he goes to bed. Love waking up to the smell of coffee at 430 in the morning!

As for naked necks, I had never seen or heard of one until last May. Igor was my first so when he just snuggled up in my arms, I was in love! No, they're not always the prettiest but Igor makes me laugh, especially when he runs on the deck with big chicken feet!

Chickadoodles - The only reason sweet hubby is building the coop for me is self preservation. I took over his shed when I brought the babies home and he knows if they don't have a proper coop by winter, I'm taking over his garage.

Deb - How awful to not be able to sleep! I feel for you. When hubby's done with the building, it should be 12x18 divided up into a 6x12 greenhouse, 6x12 chicken run, 6x6 chicken coop, and 6x6 storage for the lawn and garden stuff. The chickens will be able to have access to everything but the storage, and I'll be able to shut them out of the greenhouse when growing season starts.

Last cup of coffee is done so time to head home and check on baby #3. Please be hatched!

Wow what a great setup....

I am used to the no sleep. I have a baby monitor in my room so I can hear when Grandma gets out of bed. At 98 I worry that she falls again and breaks her other hip. When she fell three years ago she lay on the floor an hour banging on the walls trying to wake me up... Too much insulation between our rooms.

She finally pulled the phone off and called my mom then 911. Mom beat the paramedics here and Pounded on my door and proceeded to ream me a new one. So Call it PTSD but every time I wake up now I listen to the monitor. Or get up and come in to the computer where I have another monitor setup.

Add on top of that the kid worry... (kid is 24 lol) about school... I take naps.... its all good.

Way to go TeaChick! What degree are you working on? Going back to school after you've had kids can be tough! It takes an understanding family.

Sitting with my coffee, contemplating the day ahead, In other words trying to get motivated! I got a lot done with the paint on my new coop. I had a tan base coat down a couple weeks ago, stood back to admire my work like we do...and I hated the color. Of course I did! I hate painting because it all looks great on that chip but when you get it onto a large wall, reality sets in. Yes ma'am your living room wall looks like the inside of an army barracks! Any who, ysterday I tackled the coop again, channeling the creativity of backyard chickens coop builders, I laid out a lattice pattern with masking tape.I painted over this with a light sage green and am so happy with the results! So now the largest ugly tan wall is now pretty darn cute. Lattice print goes more than half way down on 2 sides. What to do on the lower half, if anything. It is seen from the road (I live in a rual area so no hoa to give me a thumbs down) I don't want this to be tacky, but fun. Seven double laced barnevelder live here, they are neighbors to a trio of Gold Laced Wyandotts. The wyandottes live in a conservative A frame painted a very conservative gray, It fits their quiet personalities! Any ideas welcomed! My little grandchildren will out here a good bit, I hope! I wish I had a talented friend that could add morning glories to the trellis, maybe with a humming bird! Any thought about stencils. Thanks
