I cant figure out the quote thing on BYC. Anyway....Alaskan, I have an old Regency non-catalytic wood stove. I have thought of upgrading but I have herd they are a bit fussy. I love mine because I can get it cranked up to 400 F and the top of the stove has a flat top for putting things... like a hot pot of coffee in a metal pot. The whole house smells like coffee. Its.... coffee potpourri.

I super super super wish I had bought a non-catalytic stove.

But, the catalytic stove I have is much better than the 'metal box' that we used to have.
