Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

what do you do to keep all that mold away. here in pr its the same except it keeps growing all over the ceiling because of all the rain. right now my kitchen looks like a purple and blue tie die from the bleach.

Bleach is so hard on your lungs and sinuses. I know, believe me I know. Just be careful!

feel guilty saying we've actually caught a break and had just a couple inches of snow and temps in the 20's. Might even see some of that big yellow ball up in the sky tomorrow!

things should thaw enough so I may actually be able to do a good cleanout in the coop and greenhouse.

Ron - glad you caught your heat problem in time.

For whomever it was that said they didn't like having to check if the ceramic heaters were on, one fix is like what I use to know if the power is on in the coop. Walmart has these 6" (yep that's inch) extension cords for using with all those power packs that won't fit into your surge supressor, etc. Anyway, they have a diode or whatever in them that lights up to let you know there is power. These things are handy for all sorts of applications and come in very inexpensive 3 packs. Just in silly colors.
Thanks for the tip Chickisoup! And Please send some of the big yellow ball my way should you get extra!

WORKING? PLAYING? OVERHEATED?!

huh.
I am so not northern material.

What do you do down there? Go to the beach? yeah Life's a Beach in Florida!

Mold. *sigh*

I am waiting for May.
May is our drought month followed by June and some of July...

I really am not doing much to entice you down am I?

I use bleach when it is bad, but prefer hydrogen peroxide. It is easier on my lungs.
Does HP work as well as bleach or do you need more? Do you dilute it? I'm a Bleach Freak I guess, Love the Clorox cleanup stuff ( can I say that?)
You know if I take the L out of Bleach I'd get a Beach!

O.K. That's why! I understand now.
If I lived near a beach it might be okay.

There are some H2O2 cleaners like Earth Sense and Neutral Q that work well for cleaning. I have gotten very sensitive to bleach. Nothing works quicker than bleach does, but 3% H2O2 will work.

have problems with bleach as well, always have. I found the Oxine I use for the chooks is also great for just about anything you would use bleach for in the house for disinfecting without the fumes (unless you add the citric acid to activate it) or the all toxic effects to the environment (or me). It appears expensive up front but it's so highly concentrated that a gallon usually lasts me close to a year. Don't know for sure if it would be effective on mold (would have to check my lit ) but it might be. Since commercial livestock and poultry folks use it to keep bacteria out of their stock water systems it probably does.

I make one in my imbreeki nearly daily and can never drink that instant rubbish ever again. Yes it takes its time but most of the best things in this world require time and patience and this is well work it. It's a shame everyone these days are in a rush with every thing including their coffee?

Ah, I finally found the picture I saw at the top!!!
I got DH a french press, so we made coffee in that until we broke it (I think it was pouring almost boiling hot water into it cold), but anyway, we have been using a Pyrex measuring cup since then. lol But we boil the water on the stove and buy whole bean coffee and grind it ourselves (well, myself, I've become the official coffee maker, since he's not a morning person), but I digress. Anyway, I understand what you're talking about "It's a shame everyone these days are in a rush with everything including their coffee".

So, how are you this evening?

I am fine!

I set up a brooder water fountain for the week old chicks. I am watching to make sure they know how to use the nipple on it.

I am drinking an espresso with milk too-- Latte time!
