Good morning!! A cup of yummy hazelnut on this balmy 28 degree morning! Going to the Draft Horse Pull and Coon Mule Jumping competition tonight in Raleigh NC. So excited!
I love mule exhibitions! They are such underrated and clever animals.

I would love to see draft horses utilized more. The time will come that they will be needed, and only a few people will have them. The old ways were the hard ways, but they always worked.

I know it is hard work. But you get baby goats...and milk. I think I lost the point of the dairy goat somewhere in there.

Quote: I read an article about an elderly lady who lived alone with some small wood acreage that she kept cleaned up and used the wood for her wood burner. That was her only heat source. She had a draft horse and used him to haul all the trees/logs out so she could cut them up! That was just a few years ago! Amazing!

not if you live in Florida........make those dreams a reality.....my sister-in-law raises milk goats in north Texas and they have had 72 for a high temperature already this year

-good afternoon and good coffee! -high of around 30 in N. Texas. -chickens are FINALLY out and about in the run (with coastal hay about a foot deep). -gals are keepin' the feet warm and enjoying scratching in the hay!

p.s. Oh how I would love to raise some goats....seriously. Maybe someday. Chickens'll do for now due to land (or lack thereof).
