I got QUAIL now. Dang things are so small though...I am worried that they aren't actually drinking, seriously, I can barely see their beak!

Four have hatched...that is enough that hopefully I have at least one of each sex. Did you know these suckers can lay by EIGHT WEEKS?!?! WEEKS! It boggles my mind. Like raising fleas.

I have 3 D'Uccles and one Cochin.

Oh my goodness! That's awesome! I've read that they start laying really early, but I didn't know if it could be true or not. You should post some pics

Yes, yes, we want to see photos of tiny quails! I remember in Brazil years ago we would buy hard boiled quail eggs by the dozen in tiny egg cartons on the beach. Young girls sold them in baskets with little paper twists of salt.

OK, cochin (especially bantams) are the cutest fluffy balls! (What color? YOU DIDN't tell us the color!) and we have d'uccles too, the kids love them.

I have NOT been conned into buying more chicks, I have resisted by refusing to go buy potatoes. (Remember, the potato starts are where the chicks are)
