Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I've never had any problem with that. I use a medium heat and stir but the problem of overcooking is from cooking to long. You need to tempervthe eggs with some of the heated milk before adding back in to the rest of the milk.

Don't think I can do better than the Southern Comfort Vanilla Spiced Egg Nog, non-alcoholic, I buy at grocery every year. If you haven't tried it do…it is awesome.

@perchie.girl yes you can halve it. And you can use less of the cream and half and half too if you want less fat. Just make up the volume in milk. The important thing is to not over cook. It will get too thick. If it does just add a little milk to suit after it's cooled. Pretty much everyrhing in it can be altered some without changing the basic taste. Mostly the texture and thickness will be different. The cinnamon and cloves should be added only a little at a time to suit your own taste. As should of course any liquor.

Oh good.... I am about the only one that likes eggnog in my family.

I just had my first egnog Latte... OY Danger Will Robinson.

For what its worth my favorite coffee accessory is Almond Biscotti with Dark chocolate on the flat side.....  I am NOT a dipper dont like little sandy bits in the bottom of my cup....  But I will dip a biscotti.

Also I love a nice Garlic bagel with Salmon Creme Cheese and some Lox on it too....  :drool    I can eat a couple....  Nibble and sip.... nibble and sip....  OH yumm.

I am not a huge sweet eater...  While I like donuts I like a nice Glazed donut hot out of the cooker....  :drool :drool   Dad used to go golfing at about Five AM and I would go with himn to the donut shop.  the place was called Zona's Donuts....  There the old fellow named John...  was a donut making machine.... he would roll out the dough and pull out the holes and put them in the Proofer  or a warm place to raise...  Hed pull out a tray that had allready risen and put them in the fryer one at a time with a long stick that looked like it had seen better years.  I loved watching them cook just enough then he would flip them one by one with that stick....  when they were done they went immediately in for a glaze bath and onto a tray....  John owned Zonas donuts but never changed the name.

Dad and I (I was about thirteen at the time) Dad and I would sit at one of the ancient Tables and eat donuts and drink coffee...  Yep I drank coffee then too.  Black usually.  He would take me home and go Golfing with his buddies.

Wow I hadnt thought about that in a very very long time.

You had me at biscotti, LoL,
Brought back happy memories of my grand father who spoke very little English only italian.
He dipped everything in his coffee and biscotti was one of his favorites.
I think it was because his teeth wouldn't let him chew it but I could never figure out why he dipped the spinach too. LoL
I think I need more coffee now to ponder that.
