Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Congrats Teachick on getting coop pic of the week. You have a cute coop.

I also have a pallet coop. :)

Thank you!
Oh, cool! Pics, please?

It's ankle turning time here too. We had -13C last night around eight, by three in the morning it was +2C. And the next week looks like it's going to be circling around both sides of freezing. I just got all the snow that fell in the weekend cleared away from paths and the parking lot, it would have gotten pretty interesting if I would have left it there.

Tea, congrats on coop of the week!

Thanks, Felix.

Congrats!

Hi all! I have some pictures of my chicks that just hatched and they are mixed breeds. someone on BYC told me that I should come on your thread and you could probably help me figure out which is which. I thought I'd give it a try. I have chicks that came from White leghorns, Ameraucana, and Barred Rock roosters and the same group of hens. The person that I got the eggs from was more interested in eggs and not breeding. I'll say one thing. He has fertile roosters. I set a dozen eggs and everyone of them was fertile. I ended up with 10 out of 12 and the chicks are thriving so far. The only ones I would know for sure are from a certain roo I would imagine are the black ones. Barred Rock, but mixed with which. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out. Here goes.

Well, I hope you can see these well enough. The one little yellow chick has black spots on it's lower back. The colors are pretty true. I'm just curious. It's actually a real mix. Some gray as you can see, some with a black stripe up it's back and so on. Thanks for any help you can give.

Welcome to the thread!!!

Cute babies!

Great pallet coop Teachick! I am going to try to build one this summer and I will ask you for advice.

Cold morning here -5 at the bus stop at 7am - tractor did NOT get stuck in the snow because it wouldn't even start... Thankfully I was able to drag the hay and clean the barn using muck tubs and my big sled.

Fourth cup of coffee here - still looking wishfully at boots on the computer...

Thank you! I'll give the best advice I can! =)
