Drinking coffee with my down jacket on as I am waiting for the propane - it is 5F outside and 50F inside!

I started to think you were at my house....


except:

1. the only propane heaters we have are little space ones that we don't use except for very rarely

2. it is 20ishF at my house.

Well it is 11 F out this a.m. Went out at 5:15 a.m. and coop door frozen shut. Lots of snow/frozen rain and more snow yesterday. The entire 30 foot run is encased in a sheet of ice from the rain freezing. Had to take a kettle out and thaw the ice between the door frame. My car is encased in ice as well and stayed home today. Couldn't chance the road or the other people deciding to speed on the ice encased streets. Actually looking forward to tomorrow when it gets above freezing. Pure yuk!!!

I almost saw the sun this morning--We are in the time of Fog here in the Sacramento Valley. Hopefully that will end and we will have some rain on Friday.

It will be the first measurable rain for the Sacramento area since December 5th. This is not a good thing since we are in the Fourth year of a drought.
