We certainly agree. My son has a friend who would have us baby sit her animals when she traveled over the summer with her parents.
When she got home...I found out she had given them to us.![]()
By the third year she wanted a dog.
"NO! Do not let her have a dog. If she gets a dog then I get to pick it out!, And she better not use up all the puppy!" Luckily her parents agreed with me.
It got to where her parents were asking me what kind of pet she should get. ''One that does not end up at my house."![]()
She got a hedge hog too.
I flat out refused the hedge hog. It got given to someone else.
Pets should be family not temporary fads or whims.
When I met my hubby I brought a cat into the relationship that tolerated him

We agreed to the chickens with my daughter to begin with. She had already had hamsters whom she had cared for and had simply used up their 1000 days of life. She was amazing for the first year as they were hers and she did all the chores for them. After the first year, went by, my hubby thought we would be done with chickens but the bug had hit me.

This is too small. sorry.
I did not know. It all makes sense now.

I am an enabler - talked two families into chickens at TSC yesterday. Steered them away from CC and straight run to sexed pullets. One family already had a coop, and the second was looking into buying a coop before getting chicks. Yes, I did well.
Also told them to get online with BYC.![]()

How do you do the nested quotes? I have never figured that one out.Just incase you might want to use it.... There is a button in the reply area called Multi. Its a way to tag more than one post to quote. Just gather up several by clicking on the Multi button.... then to reply you click the reply in the last one you wanted to quote.
This will pull up all the comments and they will be in their own boxes and you can answer each one in turn in a single post.
