Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

April showers bring snow plowers

At this rate we'll be able to build snowmen for Pentacost, sigh.

The coffee is good this morning and I am excited. It has appeared that one of the Mallards was building a clutch of eggs so I have been leaving most of the Malllard eggs in the nest. The oldest hen is setting on them today. She has a clutch of about 14 eggs. I am looking forward to a good hatch.

Hurray for hatches and baby chicks!
@Alaskan - I hope our eggs are OK in the bator! :fl

@Perchiegirl - I would love to see a photo of your multigenerational family there!:drool
And your food sounds delicious

@chickisoup - neat as a pin and flowers help sell! Goodvluck

These new pigs are running me ragged here

I can manage the "neat as a pin" thing, as long as they don't want to open hubby's garage!

Both hands, right shoulder, right foot, neck, left ankle, lower back - everything is hurting, and I did NOTHING yesterday. It's just not right. My body is starting to irritate me. (Pun intended.)

I did not know that. Learn something new every day.

I totally agree with the buying after Easter thing. Did you do the Easter Bunny thing with your kids? How did you explain the different "delivery" days?
I have never done the easter bunny..... we do do an egg hunt, but it is just an egg hunt, no easter bunny stuff. As to different dates... I guess it is normal to them, we are supposed to be in this world but not of this world.

And a number of Orthodox still use the old Calendar, the one that was in use when Christ was on earth, so they are 13 days after us. The church we go to is on the new calendar, but we have friends that are on the old calendar, and that is always super clear around Christmas, since they start the fast before Christmas 13 days after we do... but are still fasting when we celebrate Christmas...... 13 days difference is a big difference.... (each Orthodox congregation gets to choose if they will follow the Old or New Calendar)

Easter is the same Old calendar or new Calendar since it isn't actually calendar based, but whatever moon cycle and passover and what not based.... but for Easter, even though both Old Calendar Orthodox and New Calendar Orthodox are celebrating all together, we are usually not celebrating with the rest of the Christians....

I guess I am saying... we are used to being out of step with the rest of the world

the kids think it is normal

Yep, I am trying to beat that into my kids... I sure do hope that I am successful

Is this a record breaking snowfall about for y'all??

Went to check Broodies. Caught a glimpse of a second hatching!
