So very true - I am ashamed to admit that I once blew a hole through the molding in the kitchen at 3 AM.

my house has seen too many pellet guns... many of my walls have little round dents in them from the pellets.

I even have one window with a classic bullet hole.... but that was also from a pellet gun.

The kids have switched to trying to kill voles by blowgun... those don't hurt the walls as much.

I did a head-jerk-around double-take last night when the TV weatherman said snow in the area. Luckily the area he was talking about was above a certain altitude. So - phew - our burgeoned fruit trees wouldn't have to lose anything to freezing. Maybe hard rain or occasional hail, but not snow or freezing.

We ventured up to Santa Fe and, yes, it was snowing and pretty hard. We reached our destination about the time it was starting to feel treacherous. But, hallelujah, they had hot coffee waiting when we arrived.

And look at what I found up in Santa Fe! Who knew?



Folks in Santa Fe take their patron saints pretty seriously......

Love it!!! I have around 150 or so onion sets to get in the ground this week. Do you rent him out???

She pulls weeds too! Only she can't discern between the plants that need to stay and the ones that need to go.
But after yesterday, I realized she is just like when my boy was a toddler, she is just helping.
So I help her play and then she goes and takes a nap and I can get some work done.
