Found this little gem on Facebook this morning. Thought I would share.
Happy coffee!!!!

@TeaChick

Ah but banning cars in the US would have to be done through legislation.... and wouldnt ban the cars in the rest of the world...

Actually people who prefer to live in cities are taking advantage of Mass Transportaion and in some cases being able to live in the same building as their work...

Not argumentitive just sharing points of view....

For what its worth my home is 30 miles from the nearest grocery store... and I am not a farmer... just a city girl that wants space around her. I would love to learn how to grow my own food... maybe some day.

deb

I know you're right. Ppl are such a pain!!! lol
I know some about gardening, but I've got a brown (rather dark brown, if I'm honest) thumb, so DD (who has two very green thumbs) does the gardening around here.

Yes I labled them 4 Silkies 1 blue bantam cochin and 2 white bantam Frizzle Cochin. Only Pom pom Frizzled way better than little Nitty.

I must not have seen that. I was tired yesterday, been missing my naps.

Oh yes the dog
That is my house rat Sophia. She was a birthday present 8 years ago from my daughter. Breeder said she was a pom-poo
She is not a good dog but she is not a bad dog More like a human toddler. she loves the chickens and the chicks. But she is easily distracted so she doesnt make a good guard dog.

That sounds like a lot of dogs. =)

I cant go along with the banning cars thing, I just dont think walking every where with my 3 yr old granddaughter would be much fun. and biking with her nope not that either. Hauling lumber for my chicken coop on a bike? nope

Sorry

Most ppl agree with you. =)

One of the islands near here doesn't allow motor vehicles (doesn't apply to emergency vehicles, of course). Most of the folks that own houses there also own golf carts, which gets us right back to the polluting power plants.
idunno.gif

Everyone around here owns a car. There are ppl who drive up to the convenience store several times a day, to get gas, to get cigarettes, to shoot the breeze...
A lot of them also own golf carts. And what really gets us is that some ppl drive their farm equipment up and down the road (not like they're using it as transportation, but they just don't have a flatbed or something).

lau.gif

Nope, never seen that in my life!!!

posting here to see if anyone with more knowledge than me can help this poor chicken mama.
Head pecked what to do for her.

I replied to her. I've had similar problems. I'm sure the chicken will heal up fine, if she keeps her away from everyone else for a few weeks. =)

Ok so this is Vipers old dog house so I figured I would try to make it into a small coop for the kennel. When the baby Cochin are done using it I plan on putting the scattery chickens in it. It is a weird construction after starting to take it apart but I will keep you posted I plan on using just the stuff I have laying around the house and garage.

Looks to me like a good place to start! =)

I think it might be an Equus Platycercus or a Colibri delphinae asinus. Can't tell without seeing it's crest.

...its crest...

I have it on good authority that it's a Selasphorus mulesweetoothus, also known as the Greater Smart*** Hummingbird

hehehe

went, did. I would also recommend she contact by pm castportpony.

Very good idea!!! She's an absolute genius!!!

the least polluting engine hydrogen fuel cell... which generates electricity

so the engine is electric.... they are very very expensive...

But they are using them in formula race cars and can achieve 180 miles per hour

http://www.cnet.com/news/electric-cars-race-to-the-finish-in-formula-e/

Probably the best way to promote is make it glamerous....

deb

You're a genius too, @perchie.girl !!!

Viper was our dog my DD gave us this house for him after her dog ate it. (anxiety issues) Viper has never been a cooped up kinda dog he would sleep under steps before he would use a dog coop but this mostly eaten house was great for him. He died in may of Old age and so we are using his stuff for chickens now. It does have a roof but I took it off then took pics I always forget the BEFORE then I am the only one who knows when I unveil the AFTER.
hu.gif

The dog in the background is poodle he is the chickenplucker. If they get close and tease him he gets playful and pulls off their feathers hes done it twice but has never left teeth marks of bleeding. I think he got bored and when he plays with toys by himself he pulls the stuffing out I figured he was playing and pullin stuffing. When the chickens roamed the yard they would go over and pick at the worms form the water bucket and even share his food.

about Viper!
I have a few chickens left who prefer dog food, but my new ones don't seem to care for it. Just the Comets.

Ladies all made the first night not terribly happy and could probably use a heat lamp but all made it just fine
Thank you Jesus

Is it really cold enough for them to need a heat lamp? If they're feathered out, they don't need one unless it's ??? IDK, I use one below 40 until their feathered out and below freezing after that until their "big enough" unless there are at least five-ish of them, enough chicken and fluff there to keep each other warm (w/o sufficating each other).
That's just me. =)

Hilarious!!!

thats just the ones that are still working.... we have been putting objects up ins space since Sputnik 1957

Right now the orbts of objects around the earth will stun you the calculation is 22,000 pieces of rockets... not just satellites

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...rockets-abandoned-satellites-orbit-Earth.html

I project there is going to be big money one of these days scooping that stuff up and selling it on Ebay....

I had a MySpace page a hundred years ago.  My sisters-in-law used to give me neat stuff to put on it and one of them was really good with putting up wallpaper for me.  But she never took any of it down, so it took forever for my page to load b/c it had to load like 11 layers of wallpaper. lol
I agree with you about just living my life for me.  I don't really care what other ppl think.  A friend of mine once told me, "Those who matter don't care, and those who care don't matter."  I like that! =)

I've never gone on MySpace before. I tried facebook. Yes it's easy to sell on there but I'd rather just eat my extra animals lol. I love love love that quote!
