I would like some of that too please. So it occurred to me that I may use this forum to complain while holding my sign. I just wanted to take a moment and thank all of you for putting up with me and helping me out through a rough start of the year. I appreciate you all. I wanted to share a quick story. On July 3 I got a phone call from my olderst DD. She says "So I have a wedding to go to tomorrow" I said who gets married on *INDEPENDENCE DAY?" She said "I guess they want to always have fireworks on their anniversary" She continues with "I need a pedicure! Would you come with me?" I said "UM YES!" So we spent 4 hours getting pampered feet and hands! I also got a shamefully bright Orange color of nail polish that I am probably too old to pull off but got it anyway! Sometimes I tend to share the bad and not the good so I just wanted to take a moment and share the good! Also even now I am still unable to convince my DH of the wonders of a pedicure! I must say to all who are reading and have never treated yourself to one, It is a must! the only thing that would have made it better was if I remembered to bring in my coffee cup! I just might have to start giving them to my chickens. That is how wonderful they are!

I just love pedicures, and I love getting bright colors and sometimes I get a flower on my big toe!!!!

Yes you can water logs! It is the moisture that is created under the log that brings in the good bugs like worms and grubs and many yuckie things I dont know what are My Ladies love it when I find scorpions.... I do cut off the poker on the end of the tail to keep us all from getting stung but they love em.

Chickens will eat the larval stage of house flies--maggots is what we call them.

They love eating fly larvae!

Morning all

Just got in from uncovering my gardens. Looks like we dodged a bullet last night. The frost didn't reach the herb garden or the plants next to the house, whew. Frost in July has happened before but I really thought we would miss it this year, oh well. Such is life in the wonderful northwoods. Should get up in the mid 70's today so at least it's back to normal at least thru the weekend.
