sleepy chicks

I had 7 chicks hatch today. They are very sleepy. Is this normal? They aren't really interested in the food & water.

This is normal. They have just had a major workout trying to free themselves from the egg. They need a rest. Just make sure you dunk their little beaks in water and get them drinking within the first 48 hours.
