Our "good camera" is a Canon digital rebel, 6 meg. The lenses matter as much as the camera. If you want to see some of DH's nature photos with it, just go to http://www.purviance.com/photos/ , they are mostly macros. The ones from the earlier years are from old cameras, the ones from 2005 and later are from the Canon.

They are sharp enough to blow up to at least 8x10 with no loss of quality at all.

I'll need to buy a new camera. Puppy knocked it off the bed onto the padded carpet and the thing broke!!! It will cost $150 to fix. I am buying a cheaper digital camera this time for about $80 instead of fixing the other one. Accidents are bound to happen.

Right now we just use a kodak easy share. We, meaning DH, is shopping around for a good one we can use for everyday photography and astrophotography. He has decided on the
Canon 400D Digital Rebel XTI. Then we'll give DGD the kodak.
