Day 3 crop is full but growth looks slow any advice guys

Also any idea on how i can sex the chicks to no if its a male or female and when would it be mature enough to have its own chicks

How do you know growth looks slow? Looks fine to me.

You can't tell the sex of pigeon chicks. Have to wait till they mature and look for a mate.. males will coo and dance at females.

It will be sexually mature at about 5 to 7 months old.

Don't worry the female is showing less interest in the squab... usually its the male that does most of the feeding and care... and he is the one who looks after it once it leaves the nest and starts to fly.

The female will be concentrating of brooding her next clutch of eggs.

Your right jak the female isnt really intrested in the chick no more but the growth is good i was a bit worried but its good, the male is a perffect parent ive realised how experienced this pair is

What colour are his parents? It will be interesting to see him growing up... please keep putting update photos on here..

l would guess this squab will be nearly solid white from the skin colouration.
