Sneezing and Wheezing cockerel *Video

I've had a few mild respiratory issues with a few birds in my flock,
they all recovered with no treatment.

Same here. I do think it is possible for things in the air to bother them at times, and not be anything fatal.

No hurry to add more chickens right now in any case. I didn't intend this many, expected shipping losses being a cold wet October like we had. Or choosing favorites and moving some along. Everyone thrived and I like them all so I'm set. Unless I end up with rooster issues but I'll have segregated space so that might be ok too. I've had good luck in the past wth multiple roos and these are all calm breeds.

Glad he's better. :clap

Was thinking about this while out tending the birds just now.
I know a couple definitely had some disease....swollen sinuses, bubbly eyes, runny noses, funky eggs)...over one winter. These were adult birds I started my flock with(that was a mistake SMH they brought lice and leg mites too) but they recovered. Couple others just have had raspy breathing that lasted a good long while.

You've had new birds since right? Did they seem to catch it?
Nope.
Also have leukosis or mareks in flock, lost a few to that, confirmed by visual tumors during necropsy(DIY) but not pathology lab testing. Not sure if that came from original flock, but probably as any other new birds were hatchery day olds or hatched here.
I just figure birds carry disease, whether it proves fatal or not is a bit of a crap shoot.
