Don’t massage if her crop is soft and puffy since that could make her throw up and choke, but do massage if it is firm or doughy.

How hot has it been? She could be dehydrated. The symptoms can be attributed to heat - weakness, lethargy, inability to stand, etc. It can't hurt to treat for dehydration and heat sickness. Mix a small bowl of water with a spoonful of sugar and a pinch of salt and baking soda, about 200ml of solution. Give it as the only water source. Dip her beak to get her to start drinking.
It’s been around 24 degrees but it was the morning and full access to water and shade so I didn’t think it was the case but I’ll definitely give this concoction a go. I’ve been keeping her inside and out of the sun incase it was related. How hot has it been? She could be dehydrated. I’ve checked when I brought her in and then checked again with a torch and I couldn’t see anything.Check to see if she has something wrapped around her tongue or something is in her throat/airway.
Thank you for asking. She’s “honking” less but she’s still opening her mouth as if gagging. I made her the concoction, added a little fresh ginger too and she’s on soft foods. Last night she was shaking her head a lot which has me thinking something is stuck in her throat. Had another good look last night down her throat and in her mouth, this time I had my son hold the torch so I could really get a good look and saw nothing. She’s pooping. Eating dog roll. I can hear bubbles and gurgling from perhaps her crop? It really does look like she’s gagging on something. If something is stuck will it pass through naturally or..How is she doing now?
Everything is feeling quite compact and tight, it’s hard to identify but when I could feel and hear the bubbles originally it would have been anterior thoracic, I’ve felt just now (she’s a lot better todayWhat does her crop feel like?
Just in case - feel all over her body, does there feel like an air bubble trapped under the skin somewhere?
