Snow Storm

We're supposed to have a few snowstorms in the coming week and I'm wondering what we should do to help the chickens? We have an Australorp, an Orpington, and an EE. They all seem to be okay in the cold (though the Aussie seems to get depressed when it rains!) It'll be their first snow, so what should we do to make it easier for them?

Make sure they have access to liquid water (if you don't have a heated waterer) and protection from winds/drafts, and they should be fine.

Most chickens don't like snow so if the run area isn't covered, you should plan on shoveling some pathways for them to use, so they aren't stuck inside for days. Or conversely if you have ample straw, hay, dried leaves or other litter, you can throw down a layer of it on the snow for them to walk on, though downside with that is if it snows more, you'll need to add more litter.
