So how is Zane doing?

Oh Cynthia....I wish I was closer, I would give you a playpen for Zane. Poor guy. He deserves all the best. He sure is a fighter. Once he is all better.....and " with " the ladies....I definately want to get a few eggs from that boy! What a great Roo. I sure hope this last bit of draining is just that...the LAST time he has to go through this. I have 8 little ones...just over a week old now...I doubt I will get a Roo as sweet as Zane....but one can hope. HE Is the reason I wanted to get BR. What a Doll!!

Deb, I sure hope the day will come when I can offer eggs from Zane and the ladies. He is truly exceptional in his patience and temperament. I really believes he knows we are trying to help him. If that day never comes, though, I hope to be sending out eggs from Zane's baby brother Dutch, the next best thing. He's just gorgeous, but I doubt he'd tolerate his mommy hugging him like I do Zane, LOL.

I sure hope Zane can do his deed. I have 8 little ones....but I am sure....well..maybe....I wont get one as pretty and mild tempered as your wonderfull guy Zane. At one week old...the little one I think is a roo...is already jumping at my hand, and pecking me!! What a turd! He wont last long here with THAT attitude.

Yes, I always call him the Chick Formerly Known as Zoe, ala Prince and his stupid symbol name he changed to. Zaners sure did fool me for awhile. Guess I should now call him the ROOSTER formerly known as Zoe since he's all grown up. I did name one of Zane's half sisters Zoe, so the name is still in use here. And this one IS a girl!
