So, My Favorite "Hen" Started "Crowing" This Morning...

Went out to the garage to give the babies some fresh air while it's still cool since it's supposed to be a scorcher today, and what do I find but my favorite "hen" doing what seemed to be an attempt at crowing. It was a "caaaaaw-uh!" kind of sound. Hard to describe.

This was our roughly 1 year old Buff Orpington "rooster".
Is "he" actually a boy? I was between 5 and 6 in this picture if that helps you gauge size at all. "He" was a huge "boy". Really mean to everyone but me as well.

I am going to guess hen... the comb and wattles are not that big, and from what I can tell there are no spurs on it's legs.

Yeah, never had any spurs. Not all roosters do, but I feel like that’s really unusual. Plus the neck feathers don’t really look right either.
