Steve,
now what in the world did you go and do a crazy thing like this for?? LOL
Didnt even know you were considering going that far with them, sure wish I wasnt broke, I would have helped you out.
Those green birds from last year are looking good, and that pied boy is gone be awesome too. Think I have ended up with 3 males and 5 females on my muticus and 2 pair on the imperators.
Anyway, hate to hear you sold all them off. Doug aint thinin the heard down too if he?
What in the world did you get out of Australia?
You know me, I fully understand the chicken thing, do like I have and get the rarest stuff you can, and you can make a good turn around on them usually, also 1 egg a day for 8 months out of the year, and my 350 bantams eat what my 40 peafowl do every day too, so cant say I blame you a bit there.
Let me know if you need some bantams, LOL

If I recall right he had a pair of Charcoal Black Shoulders for $2000.00, Boggy Bottom may remember what it was.

Steve

Have not seen his price list. Saw a charcoal bs white eye sell on eggbid for over 900.00

Takes many years with charcoal, to get them in other patterns.

Myself I would rather pay more from a breeder ,that I know keep proper records ,and know the true background of their birds.
Nothing like buying a bird that was split ,they find out 3 or 4 years later, that it wasn't...

Price sometime is how bad someone wants to sell their bird..Heck i turn down 500.00 for a BS Pied W.E. peacock..why because he is my 4 yr old grandson's buddy.

I know a few breeders you could buy the birds in the dark, knowing i would have nice health bird.

Trouble some people are trying just to make it rich on peafowl...i breed them for the fun, and looks of the birds, always glad to help people get a start with them.

That's right Steve, there were quite a few on there for at or over $2000 per pair for yearlings
and yep, I did get their full price list, last year, it's not just the off the wall stuff though, everything was twice or better average price, and Sid was supplying a large portion of their " for sell birds", so it's not good records or super stock or nothing like that, just reselling some one elses stock for profit. At least last years, I know that for fact.
