Solstice Eclipse

Heavy cloud cover in middle Tennessee, so we didn't get to see it. Major disappointment. Up until last night we had clear, beautiful night skies, of course.

Too cloudy here. too.

Couldn't even find the moon, let alone see it eclipsed.

But I do hope everyone has a blessed Solstice, anyway!

My dog was majorly confused too!

She's like hey we're out playing in the middle of the night!

Mom, why are you sitting there??

I kept trying to get her to cuddle with me in the sleeping bag - it was 22 degrees! She was looking at me like I am out in the middle of a clear night and you want to cuddle?? I got things to chase!

I had to get up to go potty and noticed that it was 2 am so I looked out the window and it looked like a 1/4 moon with a dark shadow over most of it. But I saw it! I guess it was more orange later on, but I needed to get back under the covers. Very cool.

Stayed up with DD and we saw it completely covered, then we went to bed. Too cold to stay out. It was killing the new batteries I put in my camera. My pictures didn't turn out.
It was below zero with a strong wind.
