There is some pretty horrific stuff of his on you tube I think

I agree. But, I don't watch his stuff too much. I did see him kick Holly when she bit him, and I saw him smack a dog in the face once or twice, too. How is that training?

Aoxa, I believe she is referring to your post.

Fly.... I can almost deal with the Cesar reference in comparison to some of the other comments. How bad is that?

I've never seen Caesar hit a dog before.

Establishing the alpha role does not mean shunning a dog to a kennel to me. My dogs are family. You should see the Canadian version of Caesar and then see how you feel. Hate that guy.

Did I say anywhere that I choked my dog? I just said she went to rehab, where she established basic manners. A dog biting humans is unacceptable - and that's why she went. It was either that or much worse. Dog is much more balanced now. If you've ever had an LGD that did not respect humans, you will know how important it is to establish those basic manners.

Chickenfan, that's great news about Sophie! She was a cute puppy :)

Everyone else, Cesar Millan deals with "Red-zone" dogs that would otherwise be put down due to aggression. His methods may seem harsh, but they work. And you have to admit, his dogs look pretty happy.

They definitely do!

I loved Daddy.. What an awesome pitbull.

Where did I accuse you of choking your dog

I said that the forementioned man does all of the things I listed, he is hated by so many people in the UK for his barbaric methods!

If that was the episode that recently aired where the yellow lab attacked, grabbed and was chewing on his hand... I don't know what else he should have done in the heat of the moment, he had to get the dog off him, she was sure not releasing on her own. That was a very aggressive dog who was facing euthanasia also. While I don't necessarily agree with everything he does I also do not agree with babying human agressive dogs. In my opinion, that specific dog should have been put down. No dog is ever worth an adult or especially a child getting torn up.

Yes, I agree. He did do what he knew he could to get her off, but with another episode, smacking a dog in the face is not training it.

Fly 2006, how would you deal with an aggressive dog that bit people?
I know the question is not addressed to me, but I just have no idea how I would've dealt with that situation, so I certainly might've kicked the dog as well. I just don't know.
