My thinking is that as humans, we have no business harvesting a product that we apparently have no knowledge of how to clean up.

I have to say though...
i dont think that anything that WE do will make a difference at all. They are still going to do what they want.... sad but true..

Sorry Katy, as soon as i started running 10% ethanol gas in my truck, the fuel filter got gummed up, and then the pump went. I didnt catch the correlation then. But, my truck sputtered, and the sputtering got worse despite new plugs, wires, cap, filters, etc. Then one day they were out of my normal "cheap" gas, the ethanol blend, so I got regular pure gas........and my truck didnt sputter at all. That was when I stopped using ethanol. Never sputtered again, until one day I wasn't paying attention and put in ethanol blend...went right back to sputtering. So, I'll not be supporting ethanol anytime soon.

Look this is how it goes.

BP can not produce oil out of a well that is broke and leaking. PERIOD THE END!

Next logical step----------------

In order to get the oil THEY HAVE TO FIX THE LEAK!!!! I repeat the well CAN NOT BE PUT INTO PRODUCTION AS IS. It makes perfect sense for BP to do everything possible to stop the leak.

Ain't no conspiracies
Ain't no black helichopters

Think about this----

Do the goverment have deepwater drilling experts--- ugh ---- that would be a big no!

Okay! So the goverment can hire deepwater drilling experts? Yes! They can! Guess who they gonna be?

THE SAME EXPERTS THAT ARE OUT THEIR RIGHT NOW.

Only difference would be that if the US Goverment hired them-- you and I would be paying them-- NOT BP

You got BP on one hand and BO on the other.

Let's see what BO done for us

Signed a moritorium on offshore drilling. He put the final nail in La's economy. Seafood was done for with the oil spill, now, with no offshore work that's the other half.--- Thanks BO

Yep the guberment gonna save us!

I run 10% ethanol blend in both my 99 van and our 94 pick-up and have had no problems with it.

I know there are things that need to be improved with ethanol, but maybe it's time for a change in our thinking about what fuel sources we want to develop and use.

Before they invented the combustion engine and decided to put it in a horseless carriage, gasoline was a by-product of the refining process to make kerosene and was dumped on the ground....had absolutely no value. I would imagine that when they got the idea for the engine and were looking at gasoline as a fuel source it was not without some adjustments and tweeking that needed to be done.

I don't understand why everyone is so ready to discount ethanol when it could be the answer to a lot of problems with the oil industry.

I for one would rather my grandsons don't end up fighting in a desert somewhere because we can't be without that country's oil.

BP does not plan on stopping the leak. They plan on scavenging anything they can that's spilling out of that hole.
The oil we're seeing along the coast is nothing compared to whats under the surface. It spreads for miles at all different depths. A few berms of sand isn't going to beat this. This doesn't affect just a few states in the US. It's heading up the north Atlantic. Global help is needed . Who do you want to help if you don't want help from any governments?. Other country's have offered solutions. Our government decided they were to expensive. BP is responsible for the bill, it shouldn't be an issue....... I want my government to make those SOB's close that hole & stop that leak. If they don't stop the leak, all the clean up in the world wont do a dam thing.
