How hard these lessons are to learn at any age. When I see my kids heartbroken I am usually feeling more lousy than they are. I hope someone has a guilty conscious and turns it in for your son to claim.

My DD took her iPod to school and another kid took it. it stinks, but there's a lesson on responsibility.

I won't be buying her a new one.

Since both women were still there, did the doctor/nurse/receptionist bother asking each if they had seen it? (Not accusing, but more like--this poor child lost an expensive toy--maybe you say where he put it?) It's possible that one of their children picked it up without the mom being aware? Or put it in the toy box?

Amazon keeps having the DSi on sale for $98, I think. You just have to grab it at the right time.

So sorry some low life took your sons toy. :-(

Look into ebay, with the new DSI out, alot of people are upgrading and the DS and DSlites are going for 40-60.

Check used video game stores, too. I saw them a couple weeks ago for $55.
